They have an entrepreneurial spirit and are positive leaders. They volunteer their time, they have faced incredible odds and come out on top. They are passionately working to make this world a better place. These kids make a signif icant contribution in the lives of others.

On May 18, 2017 at 7pm, the Rotary Club of Lynnwood in cooperation with local schools and
youth organizations will join to honor the finest young people of Snohomish County for the
25th Annual Youth Challenge Awards.

All nominees, their families and nominators will be invited to the awards ceremony to be held
at Lynnwood High School in the Royal Act Theater, located at 18218 North Road, Bothell, WA 98012. Each nominee will receive a commemorative certificate.


One award winner in each of the 5 categories will be selected, by a committee appointed by the Youth Challenge Awards steering committee, to receive $200 and a plaque contributed by the Rotary Club of Lynnwood.

Selection will be based on the persuasiveness of the information provided by the nominator.

There will also be a $5,000 Continuing Education Scholarship that will be awarded to
one Youth Challenge Awards nominee. The recipient must be a 2017 graduating senior
with specific plans for post-high school education in 2017/2018.

NOTE: An award or the scholarship may be withheld if the
selection committee considers there is no qualified candidate.
